Slow-roasted Shoulder of Pork

Shoulder of pork is a great cut for slow-roasting since it contains quite a lot of fat and the meat stays moist. Put it in the oven or on the grill with a lid on. You can serve some of the sides below, for example the mushroom ragout, the red bell pepper sauce or the bag of potatoes.

For the Shoulder of Pork you'll need:

(6-8 persons, or you can save some for a nice hash the day after)
Shoulder of Pork
Salt
Pepper

Rub the shoulder of pork in a small handful of salt and some pepper. Place in a 160 degree oven, or on the grill with a lid on watching the tempature closely. For a normal roast it takes 2-3 hours, for pulled pork it takes 5-7. Good luck and enjoy!

Suggested side dishes: Mushroom Ragout, Red Bell Pepper Sauce, A Bag of Potatoes, Potato Salad
Suggested drinks: Beer!
